OK, Here’s Some Actionable Intelligence – So, Obama, What are You Going to Do About It?

When Umar Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas Day bomber, boasted ” close to 20 other young Muslim men were being prepared in Yemen to use the same technique to blow up airliners,” we received actionable intelligence.

Obama blamed the Christmas Day attack as a sample of an intelligence failure in spite of being told a few days before that some kind of attack was probable.

Two officials said the government had intelligence from Yemen before Friday that leaders of a branch of Al Qaeda were talking about “a Nigerian” being prepared for a terrorist attack. While the attacker was not named, officials said it would have been evident had it been compared to information about Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old Nigerian charged with  trying to blow up an American passenger jet on Christmas Day. There was also other information out there according to NBC’s Chuck Todd, that:

“partial info [was available] that al Qaeda was perhaps planning some sort of holiday attack but what kind of attack was unknown.”

So it was KNOWN that there was a holiday attack in the wind, but Obama and company instead went on vacation having had actionable intelligence. We see how well that worked. So now knowing there are about 20 more Muslim men who are planning attacks, what will Obama do?

Will he continue with defensive actions like increasing airport security or will he take action in Yemen where these attacks are coming from? I tend to think he’ll support body scans before he takes serious step to destroy al Qaeda in Yemen.

I predict that Obama and company will publically, for the next few months, attempt to show themselves as not being hard on terror, but will not do anything of consequence. Obama still doesn’t realize that we are in the cross hairs of al Qaeda because of their radical religion and will continue to treat it as street crime.
