Percy Sutton Died Yesterday

Who’s Percy Sutton? Nobody except a Civil Right lawyer with some “decent’ claims to fame.

The New York Times  wrote a real long obituary on the life of this civil rights lawyer. The piece mentioned how he represented Malcolm X as an attorney, that he was a son of a slave and that he was in  service with the famed Tuskegee Airmen in World War II.

I have to say the New York Times really did a good job on the obituary, except for left something really important out. What was missing was the noteable moment when Sutton went on TV and told America just how Barack Obama got into Harvard.

Sutton said he knew that an Islamic supremacist  (Black Panther), Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, and advisor to a wealthy Saudi, had paid for Barack Obama’s education at Harvard Law School.

(In case the link suddenly goes dead, here’s the transcript}

“Mr. Obama, I think he is the brightest, most wonderful person who has come across the starting line, and I was introduced to him by a friend who was raising money for him. The friend’s name is called Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour from Texas. He is the principal advisor to one of the world’s richest men [Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal]. He told me about Obama. He wrote to me about him, and his introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends left there because we used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him? That’s because before Obama decided to run and he interjected the advice that Obama had passed the requirements…necessary to get into Harvard and become president of the Law Review. That’s before he ever ran for anything, and I wrote a letter in support of him to my friends at Harvard saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I would certainly hope they would treat him kindly.” The Examiner

And when al-Mansour was questioned about it, his only response was , “”Any statement that I made would only further this activity which is not in the interest of Barack,” al-Mansour is quoted as saying.

That definitely was not a denial.

Obama has always been a bit shy when it comes to anything dealing with his education and even how he financed it, but Percy Sutton was very much forthcoming. And as he was forthcoming, the whole “memory” of the incident was whitewashed from the media stage, also called a “memory hole.”

And of course we know that during the campaign that Obama’s “Truth Squad” was on the lookout for any story which would ‘harm’  the candidate. And it’s because of this same “Truth Squad” that none of us knows much about Obama’s background
