What is so Great About the Healthcare Bill?

Is there anybody who really thinks either the House bill or the Senate bill is great? If there were a few things you would wrinkle your nose at, sure, but there aren’t a “few” issues of contenction, are there?

First of all, who really has read both bills, and comprehended them? We know that no Senator or Representative has made claim to have done so. So if they haven’t read it and you know you haven’t…..How can anyone agree to the passage of the most expensive piece of legislation in American history?

ALL the Democrats support both bills, but it seems as if the public is a lot smarter than those we elected. The Quinnipiac Poll shows the public opinion doesn’t jive with that of our legislative branch of the government.

Voters also oppose 72 – 23 percent using any public money in the health care overhaul to pay for abortions, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.

As the Senate prepares to vote on health care reform, American voters “mostly disapprove” of the plan 53 – 36 percent and disapprove 56 – 38 percent of President Barack Obama’s handling of the health care issue, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

And when Obama goes about cheerleading  his healthcare package…….which we don’t know what HIS is. There are two distinctly different bills and Obama can’t seem to address any specific point of either. We know HIS bill doesn’t exist but when he says his bill does this or that —- where’s the bill? It’s like watching the Keystone cops. No one knows what’s in what bill.

The other concern was that in spite of Obama and the liberals saying that the Republicans have been divisive, the truth is that none have even allowed Republican input in the creation of healthcare reform. Any attempt by the Republicans to offer their own plans have been rudely dismissed and voted down.

So tell me, what’s so good about what the Democrats have offered in their bills of healthcare reform?
