South Carolina-Bill 3389, freshman state Rep. Tommy Stringer has introduced legislation that would amend the state’s election code to make sure that “a candidate for President or Vice President of the United States may not have his name printed on a ballot in this State unless there is conclusive evidence that he is a natural born citizen of the United States.”…

New Hampshire’s House bill 1245, mandates that “the names of the candidates shall not appear on the ballot unless the secretary of state has received certified copies of the birth certificates of the candidates.”

Indiana’s Senate bill 82, grapples with the legal standing issue that has vexed “birthers,” granting the right to challenge qualifications to “a registered voter of the jurisdiction conducting the election.”… …more from the Obot’s HERE.

Arizona House bill 2441, titled: presidential candidates; proof of qualifications

Also, let us not forget the federal bill proposed by Bill Posey of Florida; H.R.1503 – Presidential Eligibility Act -

To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee’s statement of organization a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution…

It will be interesting to see what the response from the White House will be.

We’ve seen the White House visitor’s list with SEIU’s Andy Stern on the top of that roster. We’ve also seen unions getting the money from the Stimulus bills through municipality jobs. We’ve also seen the government takeover of the auto industry so the unions could keep their stake in those huge corporations. We’ve also seen Andy Stern under consideration on the Deficit Reduction Board.

Now Obama’s decided that the only way companies will be able to get goverment contracts to those who would be friendly to unions. Obama’s plan is to offer contracts to companies that ”offer better levels of pay, health coverage, pensions and other benefits.” Translation: Union jobs.

It’s a gift for organized labor! And that gift would drive up costs for government projects at the same time.  The other downside would be that it would hurt small businesses, which is the center of our economy.

Obama continues to prove that he is against the free market and plans to run this country the old Chicago style.

Payback’s a bitch and we’re the one being screwed.

Well, Al Gore came out from under his cloud of controversy and lo and behold, he still is sticking to his story about global warming. Ooops, I meant climate change. They changed that name after the last conference when there was record snow, didn’t they?

Al Gore decided to submit an op-ed in the New York Times titled, “We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change.” I think Al Gore is wishing he wasn’t living through a nightmare which tanks the findings in his books and education tours and sees his financial wellbeing  in the tank. But worse yet, he’s being shown as a snake oil salesman.

He states that by ignoring his viewpoint on “climate change” we are a criminal society. Excuse me, but what actual law is being broken? Is there a law that says we have to believe all this “consensus” when it’s been revealed that all opposing opinion had been tossed out of any scientific journals. Seems there’s more of a problem on Gore’s end called FRAUD.

Al Gore then goes off on some tangent about if we fight global warming [sic] we are dealing with national security. And more importantly by ridding ourselves of oil dependence, we are not sending our money overseas. And then he flips over to job security in our country.

If Al Gore had stuck to just that issue, instead of the world is going to end mantra, he would have had credibility throughout the years, but his mantra has always been how the ice caps are melting and our shore lines are decreasing rapidly. Now that it’s been shown that the planet isn’t warming at the rate he has been preaching about all these years, he has to change his tone in order to keep the Kuching in his bank account.

But the hilarious part is that Gore states that global warming shouldn’t be dismissed because of “two mistakes found” in the emails. Two mistakes? Is he serious? What are there? 150 emails showing that negative data was ignored by scientist in order to create a “consensus?” He also made light of the “mistakes” found in the study about the Himalayan study dealing with the melting rate of glaciers and then dismisses the emails as being from overworked scientists with way too many demands placed on them.

STOP WITH THE DISHONESTY!!!!

Al Gore then tries to support his dogmatic enterprise by discussing that January was the hottest month in decades. Decades? I heard that there is none of comparison, then I hear 14 years and then the second hottest month, then the 14th hottest month on record. Must be that consensus thing going on again.

Meanwhile, Gore ignores a simple weather system that has been around since the beginning of the earth…..el Nino. This has nothing to do with man’s cars, man’s backyard barbeques or even man’s flatulence. It has everything to do with WEATHER PATTERNS.

And not once in his four page diatribe, he never addressed el Nino and weather patterns but continues to hold on to the crumbling mast of his sinking ship. Seems like the Captain’s trip is almost over and the water line is at lip level and he’s gurgling away.

Webster defines “compromise” as:
1 a : settlement of differences by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions b : something intermediate between or blending qualities of two different things

Obama is exasperated with the Republicans because they won’t compromise with him on the health care bill. But it’s not compromise he’s seeking; Obama wants the Republicans to roll over and play dead in order to pass his legislation.

The Summit of the other day was nothing but a dog and pony show. Obama went there to let people know that he was still president. He went there to ridicule Republicans. But the Republicans went to the Blair House meeting actually to work, to bring forth ideas and every one of them were trashed.

There was no attempt on Obama’s part to “compromise,” to seriously discuss any major issue on the health care bill. And Obama’s final statement proved that. He essentially said that if the Republicans weren’t willing to play ball with him, that he would ram the bill through congress using the reconciliation process.

What a surprise……

Considering that Obama had already put up his 11 page proposal on the White House website, it was more than evident that anything the Republicans would have recommended were not about to be placed into consideration. And Obama even walked away from the Summit without even accepting any of the Republican ideas.

So either Obama doesn’t know the definition of “compromise” or the Summit wasn’t really about sharing ideas in order to actually create real health reform

Joe Klein admits in his piece, “The Health Care Summit” (wow, wasn’t that an exciting headline!) that he never even saw the Summit at the Blair House where Obama hosted a discussion between the Democrats and Republicans.

Klein concluded that all sides, including Obama talked alot. Wonderful! But then Klein mysteriously developed some amazing skill of “reading between the lines,” which has nothing to do with facts but helps him embellish on his very apparent bias.

First of all, Joe Klein stated that the Republicans had nothing very interesting to say. Hmm. Joe Klein should actually have taken the time to watch the Summit. He missed the part where Ryan took Obama to task. In fact, Rep. Paul Ryan was the main event. Everyone else saw it. Guess they forgot to send Klein the memo.

Klein must have missed when Wolf Blitzer said, ““It looks like the Republicans certainly showed up ready to play.” (CNN’s “Live,” 2/25/10)

And then there was Gloria Borgers’s remark, ““The Republicans have been very effective today. They really did come to play. They were very smart.” (CNN’s “Live,” 2/25/10)

But David Gergen’s remark was the best, ““The folks in the White House just must be kicking themselves right now. They thought that coming out of Baltimore when the President went in and was mesmerizing and commanding in front of the House Republicans that he could do that again here today. That would revive health care and would change the public opinion about their health care bill and they can go on to victory. Just the opposite has happened.” (CNN’s “Live,” 2/25/10)

But as I said, Joe Klein was too busy to actually watch the dog and pony show. That’s right. He was “elsewhere,” I forgot.

Somehow Klein concludes that if the Republicans were actually serious about reform, they would have gotten concessions from Obama. So because Obama had his own mind up (don’t forget, he wrote his own bill and placed it on line on the White House site), that it’s the fault of the Republicans that Obama wouldn’t give concessions?

Up to this point the Republicans haven’t even been allowed in the debate process. Obama figured since he gave the Republicans a good tongue lashing at the Republican retreat, that this was another chance to get in some good digs. Oh and he did! He got to remind everyone twice that he was president and inform Senator McCain to stop campaigning. See all the fun Joe Klein missed?

Instead, Klein got his tidbit of news and then made his own conclusions by reading tea leaves. Oh wait, that was  “reading between the lines” wasn’t it? And they pay him the big bucks for this crap he calls journalism? No wonder liberal journalism isn’t being read by the educated public anymore.

But at some point Barack Obama had to know that things just weren’t going their way, and it all had to do with the demeanor and snide comments made by the President of the United States. ( I knew they should have given him a teleprompter)

Either way Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, after pounding their heads against the wall, decided that they had to put Plan B C D E………O into action. Operation ROBOCALL.

According to Politico, the Obama team will be hitting the airways calling radio talk shows trying to get the message out that “we need Obamacare.” My guess is that operatives from ACORN and SEIU will be the ones making the calls to such shows as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. And they’ll all be given the talking points and I assure you they won’t be straying from them like their Commander- in-Chief did today.

THE WEEKLY STANDARD’S STEVE HAYES: “I think to me the most important thing to come out of the morning so far is that Republicans have spent a great deal of time talking with great passion, and I think eagerness about their plans, detailing the plans that until this morning them democrats had been saying didn’t exist. Well, you now see, I think, in great detail that Republicans do have plans, that they care about the same issues and that they feel passionately about it.” (Fox News’ “Live,” 2/25/10)

Well, let’s look at the CBO report

“Each of those components of the legislation has the potential to affect the premiums that are charged for insurance, directly or indirectly; some would increase premiums, and others would decrease them.” Pg 3

Many individuals and families would experience changes in premiums that differed from the changes in average premiums in their insurance market.2 As explained below, some provisions of the legislation would tend to decrease or increase the premiums paid by all insurance enrollees, while other provisions would tend to increase the premiums paid by healthier enrollees relative to those paid by less healthy enrollees or would tend to increase the premiums paid by younger enrollees relative to those paid by older enrollees. As a result, some individuals and families within each market would see changes in premiums that would be larger or smaller than, or be in the opposite direction of, the estimated average  Pg 4

CBO and JCT estimate that the average premium per person covered (including dependents) for new nongroup policies would be about 10 percent to 13 percent higher in 2016 than the average premium for nongroup coverage in that same year under current law. pg 5

Average premiums would be 27 percent to 30 percent higher because a greater amount of coverage would be obtained. In particular, the average insurance policy in this market would cover a substantially larger share of enrollees’ costs for health care (on average) and a slightly wider range of benefits.  Pg 7

CBO and JCT have estimated that, in 2016, the average premium nationwide for those “reference plans” would be about $5,200 for single coverage and about $14,100 for family coverage. Pg 8

There are 29 pages to the CBO report and I think it’s more than clear that insurance premiums will not decrease but increase under Obama’s health care plan.

Conclusion: Senator Alexander Lamar was correct and President Barack Obama was wrong, again.

But Obama neglected to mention a few issues and in doing so lead the public to believe that “Acme Insurance” was some evil and greedy corporation. First of all, Obama admitted that he had an old beat up car. The chances he carried comprehensive insurance on the car is highly unlikely. The policy he most likely had dealt with any injury or damage incurred on the OTHER CAR. Since his  junker essentially had no value, there was no coverage on his vehicle. Thus filing a claim on HIS CAR would be laughed at. And I’m quite sure “Acme Insurance” explained the coverage to him.

This is just another example of Barack Obama engaging of sins of omission in order to support a position. Simply put, once  more, he lied.
